The development of a human being involves not only the learning of specific knowledge in the subjects of the curriculum in force, if you don't, and more importantly, the development of competences in various areas. In Birch Schooling we care because the students are sporting and artistic activities, NOT as an extracurricular, if not as compulsory activities within the pénsum curriculum. With this, we strive for our students to nurture with experiences beyond school subjects, allowing them to explore activities such as: chess, table tennis, violin, guitar, bandolín, Taekwondo, dance, art, swimming, among others. When a student excels in these activities, it becomes part of our talent show, trying their skills to be exploited to the maximum.
In Birch Schooling the school year is divided into three trimesters. We work with extended hours, this means that our students are placed at eight in the morning and activities until three in the afternoon. Within our school day, students have a set amount of time to perform the activities of reinforcement pedagogical (duties, tasks, models, etc) directly with the teachers of our Institution, thus avoiding that lead activities to the home. This strategy seeks to ensure that the students make the school reinforcement within the Campus and with proper guidance from teachers. With this we want the children to have quality time in their homes, sharing family activities at home.
When a family decides to switch your child from school, usually one of the first requirements is the submission of the grade book. This, however, says very little of the students. A note from eight in mathematics, seven in language, or B in behavior, reduces the child to a single number, without providing details of your personality that will be crucial, not only in the educational process, but in life itself. In Birch Schooling for a student, the child goes through a process of evaluation. This assessment measures three aspects: speed of learning, personality traits and knowledge on the function of the curriculum. This is NOT an assessment to accept or reject the student, the goal of this process is to have a REAL criteria of the child for the Institution to adapt their methodologies to the individual characteristics of each student. After the analysis of the results of the evaluation, the Institution structure a plan methodological in which it is considered not only academics, but also, and above all, emotional aspects, so that the adaptation of the student to our educational system is adequate. This plan methodological and will be discussed with the representatives of the student. Only if the parents agree with the approach to Institutional to work with his client, then proceed with the registration.
Birch Schooling seeks a better world. We firmly believe, that in order to achieve this, we have to dump our efforts in the development of good Human Beings. A good Human Being, amongst other qualities, is: generous, selfless, patient, organized, disciplined, consistent, honest, reliable. We understand that our task is not only to educate the child in the learning of scientific knowledge, if you do not, form it into attitudes that will make him a person who look at life with optimism, able to overcome the difficulties, with the discretion to make decisions and take responsibility for them. For our students to develop in this way, a part of the academic activities, they receive within the curriculum activities such as: economy, family, planning, etiquette and protocol, Taekwondo, table tennis, art, music, dance, with the intention of providing them with a comprehensive training. Our pedagogical model prioritizes the development of thinking, reading comprehension, the development of talent and the formation of the personality.
While every family is looking for a school with an excellent academic level, beautiful facilities and top-level professionals, we understand that the primary is the safety of each and every one of our students. Currently, there are several Sites who face difficulties such as alcohol, controlled substances, and even the sexual abuse and harassment. Aware that families trust us with their most precious treasure, in Birch Schooling, there is the Institutional Committee for the Prevention of Outrages (CIPA). With the motto “the best way to solve a problem is to avoid it”, this Committee is not limited to issuing sanctions (for this there is the Commission of Conflict Resolution), its actions in developing Institutional policies to avoid at all costs, our staff present problems related to alcohol, controlled substances, abuse, harassment and/or sexual abuse. The CIPA is integrated by the authorities of the Institution, representatives of the DECE, representatives of the students and the Central Committee of Parents. Every two months holds open meetings, in which any member of the educational community can participate, and thus, contribute to the construction of an Institution that ensures the safety of all those who do Birch Schooling.
Building different, for people who make the difference.
